“Well child” visits focus on ensuring that your child is growing and developing well and to screen for conditions that may be detected at their specific age such as diabetes, autism, depression, weight concerns, vision and hearing problems, and behavioral issues. We will not be offering vaccines right away, but hope to provide this service in the near future. When available, vaccines will be provided at cost.

Sports physicals include reviewing your child’s history that focuses on conditions or injuries that put them at higher risk when playing sports, such as asthma or heart problems. Dr. Martin will discuss safety tips with you and your child and will sign required participation forms.

Kids get sick! Sometimes it is a cold that will improve on its own with time, and other times it might be a bacterial infection that needs antibiotics. With the flexibility of direct primary care, same or next day appointments are available to get your child evaluated as soon as possible.** If you are not sure whether you need to bring your child into the office, you can reach Dr. Martin directly by text, e-mail, or phone, to discuss what the best plan would be.

A healthy lifestyle starts early in life. At Axis Direct Care, we don’t just focus on diagnosing disease. We identify risk factors and counsel patients (including kids) on how to prevent common conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity. Dr. Martin also focuses on helping kids reduce risk factors for mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and eating disorders by discussing healthy boundaries, safe social media use, positive body image, and avoiding dangerous substances.

Your annual exam includes a review of your medical history, screening for common conditions (diabetes, high cholesterol, depression), reviewing your risk factors, and ordering screening exams for certain types of cancer (breast, colon, prostate). When indicated, your pap smear collection will be done at your physical. Labs and imaging tests will be billed through your insurance. If you do not have insurance, we have contracted discounted rates for these services.

Your membership includes regular visits to focus on managing your chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and high cholesterol. Dr. Martin focuses on an integrative approach including medications and lifestyle to work towards optimally managing your health.

Lifestyle medicine focuses on the prevention and treatment of disease by optimizing your physical activity, diet, sleep patterns, stress management, social connections, and avoiding risky substances. Based on an initial assessment, we will create goals and a follow up schedule that is tailored to your individual health and wellness needs.

A healthy weight is not just about a number on a scale or BMI, it is about your overall picture of health. Dr. Martin combines both lifestyle interventions as well as prescription medications, when indicated, to help you reach a healthy weight. You will have follow up visits, either in person or via telehealth, to help stay on track with your goals. We monitor your progress with 3D body scans and labs. Medications are not included in the membership fee, but members receive them at a discounted price.

Axis Direct Care offers same or next day appointments when you have a new or urgent concern like a respiratory infection, UTI, or an injury.** We are not an urgent care clinic, but we do our best to help you avoid having to go to one! We are available by text, e-mail, phone, or video call when you are not sure whether you should come in.

We offer a wide array of in-office procedures, most at no extra cost to members. If there is an extra fee associated with the procedure, you will be notified ahead of time.

We have arranged for affordable cash prices for outside labs and imaging. Members receive special pricing for hormone replacement therapy and weight management medications. This list is always being updated, so we will provide you with transparent pricing at your time of visit.
